Our Beer

A rich malty black beer with hints of caramel and chocolate. Slightly hoppy with a dry roasted finish.
Crisp, floral hop aroma with a rich malty sweetness that is beautifully balanced by its spicy hop bitterness.

Vene, vide, drink a beer!
The stronghold of the brewery are 3 well known and reputed beers, the BREWSKI, the TALL BLACK and the CARDRONA GOLD.
It is our philosophy that through creating a variety of beers that have more flavour and complexity, it is possible to create a healthier awareness platform. Where tastes, atmosphere and company are more valued than the alcohol content of the beer.
My first lesson at the Brussels Brewery school was that alcohol is a poison, however it is an unfortunate side effect of the brewing process.

Shotover Moonlight Marathon
Wanaka Beerworks is proudly sponsoring the Shotover Moonlight Half Marathon and we will be present at the finish to award all the runners with a good beer.
