Ruenell and Mike Wing Wanaka Beerworks is owned by Jabberwocky Brewery Ltd. Owners Ruenell and Mike Wing along with their baby daughters are proud to take control of this local Wanaka business . Ruenell works alongside Boulton and Chip taking care of all the behind the scenes duties. Her vast work history, education and travel experience makes her perfect for the multiple role of sales, admin, marketing and mum. Mike is a viticulturist by day and when he is not tending to Pinot Noir he is in search of the perfect beer or just the next one. His diverse role in the brewery is more general dogs body, bean counter and most importantly, quality controller.

Andrew Boulton Head brewer, Andrew Boulton, graduated from university with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a passion for the process of how great tasting beer is made. After 5 years of home brewing and chasing the ski seasons around the world, for the snow and for the beer, he found Wanaka and particularly Wanaka Beerworks to be the best place to begin a brewing career. He started brewing for Wanaka Beerworks in 2013 and have been able to work with some awesome brewers from around NZ and the world. 

Andrew Boulton

Head brewer, Andrew Boulton, graduated from university with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a passion for the process of how great tasting beer is made. After 5 years of home brewing and chasing the ski seasons around the world, for the snow and for the beer, he found Wanaka and particularly Wanaka Beerworks to be the best place to begin a brewing career. He started brewing for Wanaka Beerworks in 2013 and have been able to work with some awesome brewers from around NZ and the world. 

Michael Hammond AKA Chip Assistant brewer, Chip, trained as a chef at Cromwell College and has 10 years of working in kitchens under his belt. His passion for home brewing was ignited when he started making cider 4 years ago which expanded into brewing beer as well as experimenting with making wine, schnapps, rum and pretty much anything else that can be fermented. When an opportunity came up to work at Wanaka Beerworks he jumped at the chance to indulge his passion for making delicious beer and perfecting his craft. Chip has been with us since November 2014.
